Wavelight Concerto 500 HZ Laser now in India

Shroff Eye Hospital, Mumbai recently launched for the first time in India world's fastest laser eye treatment, Wavelight Concerto 500 HZ Laser. This latest technology can treat one number (1 Dioptre) in just 1.6 seconds. Now patients can be assured to be free from spectacles and contact lenses with a faster and safer visual recovery.

The Concerto is the only laser with three customised treatments for the person's needs, age and numbers, giving a precise result. This saves up to 40 per cent of cornea tissue (an essential safety in Lasik). The technology is approved by US FDA to improve night vision.

The only referral centre for Concerto right now is Shroff Eye Hospital, which is also the only eye hospital in India certified by the American Joint Commission International (JCI). It gets 24x7 technical support from Germany for all of its procedures.

"The benefits of Concerto are that it is a soothing and painless experience, besides offering faster visual recovery and highest level of safety," said Dr Anand Shroff, Anterior Segment Consulting Surgeon and Management Representative for ISO 9002 for Shroff Eye Clinic. In fact, he is one of the only five course instructors in the world for this technology, and the only Indian doctor to be certified for performing Concerto.
