Marketing For Hospitals in the New Era

Brand building, market research and public relations are the key ingredients
that can ensure the maximisation of the stakeholders' returns, quipped healthcare
marketing consultant Vivek Shukla. He was speaking at the one-day workshop on
marketing of hospitals. Held in Chennai, it was organised by Amen Business Solutions,
Bangalore.
Many leading hospitals from Chennai were represented by their directors and
promoters. Around 40 delegates attended the workshop. "Delegates were left
with modern branding, positioning and segmenting techniques at the end of the
workshop. As people tried to solve the real life case study during the workshop,
they got a chance to try their marketing acumen at something real and practical,"
said Shukla, who has led workshops in India, Singapore and the Middle East on
the subject.
"It is the second workshop we have had in the last five months. People
are responding very well to the marketing workshops as it seems to be a very
important topic for them," added Paniel Jayanth, who organised the workshops.
He added that there will be workshops in other cities of India all through 2008.
