Paradigm Shift in Support Services

Hinduja Hospital's Department of Support Services is organising
a one-day national seminar on Hospital Support Services: 'A Strategic Approach
to Challenges & Issues' on 15th February, 2008 at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.
Recent past has seen a tremendous shift in the management of support services
in hospitals. Increasing operational cost and demand for quality services from
customer have forced hospitals to look for various other modalities to achieve
higher efficiency and reduced cost such as outsourcing of various non core activities.
This seminar is organised to give platform to healthcare professionals, managing
the support services to share their ideas, their best practices and contribute
to the discussions about new ways to improve the quality standards to achieve
breakthrough results. It will highlight the critical dimensions of support services,
showcase the recent trends and the emerging approaches towards support service
management in hospitals and propose ways to bring in innovation and creativity
to the current practices.
The seminar will equip the participants with a comprehensive
understanding of the following important issues: Energy Efficiency Programme
in Hospital, Management of Medical Equipment, Importance of Food Safety Practices
in Hospital, and Healthcare Workers Safety.

Equipment by N Chelvadorai - MNE Technologies. A panel discussion would also
be held on
'Outsourcing: Quality v/ s Cost'.
