New State-of-the-art OPD Centre Inaugurated at Nanavati Hospital

High-tech facility would also house Mumbai's first lactation counseling

Dr Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai recently inaugurated a new state-of-the-art outpatient department (OPD) centre, The Durgadevi Saraf Outpatient Department. The facility was inaugurated by Bollywood actor John Abraham.

Spread over 7,500 square feet, the new OPD has 27 dedicated departments for consultation, diagnosis and treatment of all specialities. The OPD facility also has several speciality departments and clinics such as Juvenile Diabetes Clinic, Cosmetology Department and Breast Feeding Counseling. The Lactation OPD is the first-of-its-kind in the city, for pre and post delivery counseling set up under the guidance of Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India.

In addition, the Hospital will provide OPD patients the facilities of another 20 investigational departments including the new Advanced Centre for Radiation Oncology with its high-tech Elektra Precise Digital Linear Acceleration.

Suresh Nanavati, Chairman, Nanavati Hospital, said, "The new OPD reflects our commitment to providing our patients with worldclass healthcare services and technology. The new OPD centre will also stand by our commitment towards the poor and marginalised patients by extending free consultancy services to them."

The general OPD will function between nine in the morning and 12 noon and the private OPD will function from one in the afternoon to nine at night.
