Allengers: Engineers' Aspiration
Allengers
is the realisation of a dream. A dream by Suresh Sharma, Managing Director,
Allengers, Chandigarh who envisioned almost two decades ago, to form a venture
that will meet the yet unmet healthcare requirements of the industry. A group
of engineers joined together to fulfill his dream and thus was born Allengers
in 1987. The name itself signifies that the promoters are all engineers.
Today, it has become a mainstay of modern medical treatment in India and has
created a niche for itself. Allengers is one of the major players in the manufacturing
and marketing of its diagnostic range of medical equipment like X-Ray systems
(LF/HF), C-Arm image intensifiers (LF/HF), cath labs (mobile/fixed), lithotripters,
mammography etc.
In a span of 20 years, Allengers has become a highly respectable Indian medical
equipment manufacturing company which currently has a strong network of 20 branches
and 20 business partners. In keeping with its policy of giving its customers
the maximum range and depth of medical equipment, it has recently launched a
new state-of- the-art fixed cath labs, 65 KW HF X-Ray and OPG.
Market Presence
Allengers has a market share of around 35 per cent in India and abroad and has
maintained a consistent growth of 20-25 per cent per annum since the past three
years.
Their export continues to rise every year. "Our worldwide presence includes
our dealer ventures in 35 different countries in Asia, Africa, South America,
Middle East and South East Asia," says Sharma. Lately, as they have also
acquired CE certification, the exports are showing an upward swing.
Future Growth
Today, it is operating in a climate of growth by churning out newer products
with enhanced features. "The most important and primary challenge or aspect
is to use our strength which is the confidence of our existing customers in
Allengers products. We have a huge brand recall as an asset for which we have
always lived by," beams Sharma.
The other strategic aspect is service and the emphasis on efficiency, better
customer care and shortest downtime. The infusion of new HF technology and research
in India and the current awareness of this technology amongst the specialists
/doctors have been driving them to produce more of such equipment at affordable
prices.
Catering to both the Indian and overseas market in a big way, it is focused
on providing latest technology, best quality products and best pre and post
sales services which will and has always been their key drivers. "We are
very optimistic about the future, considering market trends and our excellent
quality products. We have barely scratched the surface of this huge market which
is bound to grow," signs off Sharma.
