Dr Batra to Set-up 10 New Centres Across Globe
The Group will invest Rs 10 crore for its expansion plans
The Mumbai based leading homeopathy clinics chain Dr Batra's Positive Health
Clinic Private Limited (DBPHCPL) is expanding its presence in domestic as well
in the international market. For the current financial year company has planned
to invest six crore for setting up 10 new centres. All the centres are expected
to become operational by the end of current fiscal. Dr Mukesh Batra, Chairman
and Managing Director, DBPHCPL, said, "For the current financial year,
we have planned to set up 10 more centres across globe. Our each centre costs
around Rs 6 lakh. In Muscat, we are setting up two centres which would be shortly
commissioned. In the near future, our new centre is also coming up in London.
Our remaining new seven centres will be at Bangalore, Goa, Surat and Indore."
Recently, DBPHCPL has opened world's first tele-homeopathic clinic at its newly
opened 55th multi-speciality clinic at Mumbai. With the help of this facility,
Dr Batra can continue to enhance its expertise in homeopathic healthcare to
benefits patients across globe. Tele-homeopathy provides medical consultation
and data through an easily accessible tele-communication network through verbal
and visual communication. It enables connectivity between the patients, consulting
doctors and speciality through interactive video conferencing with critical
information or reports of the patients being available online. It will assist
to doctors for consulting their evaluations and seeking second opinion and also
for obtaining advice on unusual, critical and rare cases from speciality. Speaking
on the occasion, Batra, averred, "It has always been our endeavour to provide
the best possible treatment to our patients whose trust we have lived up for
over 25 years. By introducing tele-homeopathy we ensure patients get the finest
medical aid that is both time and cost effective."
DBPHCPL has over 300 highly qualified full time doctors out of total 40 MDs
and 12 super specialities are there from different therapeutic area. The company
provide training to their doctors from international experts. The company also
offers online consultants to over 4.5 lakh patients every year from over 87
countries around the world for which it has been listed in Limca Book Records.
Today, DBPHCPL has a chain of 55 clinics spread across 17 cities in India, Mauritius
and London. It provides treatment for chronic diseases including asthma, diabetes,
Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD), attention deficit treatments for hair and
skin disorders.
The company also involved into Continue Medical Education (CME) programme. It
has developed a customised patient's database, which contains every patients
medical history and treatment details. The entire information is accessible
to all the clinics through a network and can be accessed from any other branch.
During the last financial year 2007-08, company has achieved total turnover
of Rs 72 crore and for the current financial year it is targeting to touch Rs
100 crore. The company also has plans to come up with Initial Public Offering
(IPO) in another two years.
"We are also planning to enter into the skin care market. At this moment
our five to seven products are under different stage of completion at our manufacturing
unit in Mumbai. For the initial stage, we will be launching cream, anti-aging
and hand wash products," Dr Akshay Batra, CFO, Dr Batras said.
