Dr Seth has pioneered numerous new techniques of angioplasty in Asia Pacific. On his new role Dr Seth, who has also been featured in the 'Limca Book of Records' for having conducted the highest number of angiograms and angioplasties in the world, shared, "Over the past year, the Hospital has gone through a transition in terms of increased management efficiencies, introduction of enhanced patient care systems and a renewed focus by the new management, which is what brings me back to the institution that I helped start and co-led." On the inclusion of Dr Seth, Shivinder Mohan Singh, Managing Director, Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre Limited said, "Dr Seth has played a key role in building up this institution and bringing it at par with the best in the world. We have always valued his contribution and are delighted to have him back with us." Dr Seth was the first cardiologist in India to use directional coronary atherectomy and stents and more recently the 'drug eluting stents' in treating heart blockages, a step that has revolutionised the treatment of coronary artery disease.
