Healthcare Summit in Kolkata
Organised by HOSMAC, healthcare and real-estate groups
will come together to discuss 'Healthcare Infrastructure'
As winter sets in Kolkata this year, the head honchos of different healthcare
and real estate groups and opinion leaders from the architectural industry would
come together to participate in the region's first summit conference on 'healthcare
infrastructure' as a defining forum for creating new benchmarks. Organised by
Hosmac Projects (a flagship division of Hosmac which undertakes turn-key design
and build solutions), the event would have the Mayor of Kolkata as the Chief
Guest. The conference will be held on December 5, 2008 at the Royal Bengal Room
(City Centre), Kolkata. Hosmac, having a fully functional regional office in
Kolkata, has had the chance to closely observe the market trends in Eastern
India. The company, which is now executing several prestigious projects in the
region, felt an urgent need of creating more awareness on the theme of 'healthcare
infrastructure.' "The importance of the event lies in its very specialised
focus," said MD of Hosmac, Dr Vivek Desai. "Investments in this sector
need to be channelised into developing a sustainable and modern healthcare system
taking into cognizance the advances in technology and demand for improved healthcare,"
he added. High-quality health infrastructure is the enabler for a modern and
efficient healthcare system. A modern healthcare system which delivers high
quality care is not only beneficial to individual citizens and their quality
of life but is also one of the building blocks for economic development of the
region and the country as a whole.
"A good conference is one where you can assess the state of the industry,
meet your peers and gauge what the future holds for us," believed Dr Desai.
"More than ever, acquiring critical inputs and information about the market
you serve, is the key to creating a competitive advantage for yourself. The
series of expert presentations would empower the participants with knowledge
and tools they can put to immediate use," said Dr Desai. It would be an
enriching experience not only for the delegates but also for the speakers -
through the interactive sessions -as right questions trigger right thinking.
The conference holds the promise of bringing about a paradigm shift in the approach
to designing healthcare facilities in coherence with public policy actions and
quality imperatives.
