Pan-India Roadshow on Private Equity Investment
The sessions aim at clearing up the air of mystery surrounding
PE investing in India
Exploring the various avenues offered by the field, IVCJ desires to take the
information bandwagon to a pan-India level in order to facilitate investments
through Private Equity Investment Forums in all of India's tier I and emerging
tier II cities. Aimed at addressing immense investment opportunities in specific
'hot' sectors, the road-show will consist of two rounds, each panning five cities.
Round one, which will take place from January 19-23, 2009, will cover the cities
of Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune. Round two will consist
of Chandigarh, Lucknow, Delhi, Jaipur and Kolkata from February 16-20, 2009.
Having tasted success in Mumbai, IVCJ's decision to host such high-profile events
across other cities in India is a well-thought out initiative. As per Manoj
Saha, Managing Editor, IVCJ, "With more than 10 conferences and workshops
held in Mumbai each year, we got clear signals from GPs and fund raisers that
we needed to produce a product that reached out deeper into India. There are
many golden opportunities waiting to be unearthed and many aspirants wanting
to better understand private equity. Such events rarely come to cities like
Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. We plan to make
this road show a regular annual feature, offering a great platform for stakeholders
to connect."
The event will feature erudite speakers such as Sudhir Kamath, 2i Capital; Abhishek
Bhagat, Yes Bank Limited, Shailesh Singh, 2i Capital; Rajesh Singhal, Milestone
Capital; Srini Vudayagiri, Light Speed Venture Partners as well as Manoj Saha,
Dickenson Advisory Private Limited, amongst others.
The sessions are aimed at covering pertinent issues such as the Entrepreneurial
Fund Raising process, Business Plan Preparation, Deal Structuring, Private Equity
for IT/ ITeS and Technology, Private Equity and healthcare, Real Estate Funds
(REFs), Private Equity and Infrastructure, Due Diligence, Valuation as well
as exit routes and are sure to fulfill the information needs of its patrons.
On attending this forum, entrepreneurs, intermediaries and advisors can get
head-start to arming themselves with some of the most potent know-how and information
pertaining to funding options available in the present economic scenario. All
in all, these sessions present a perfect networking opportunity, while clearing
up the air of mystery surrounding PE investing in India!
