Beckman Coulter to Increase Headcount by 25 %
Despite the recession in the market, Beckman Coulter has chalked out plan to
increase its manpower. "We will increase head count by almost 25 per cent
in all sphere of the business activities, " says Riyaz Desai, Head of Sales
and Marketing Manager, Diagnostics, Beckman Coulter. The increased manpower
is required to fuel its expansion plans focusing on key opportunities in the
areas of its core competencies: immunochemistry, haematology, biochemistry,
flow cytometry and life science automation.
"We have been growing in all our business lines at the double the industry
growth rate. We are very happy and proud to state that we haven been achieving
out target growth in some areas of our businesses and exceeding in some,"
he added.
Asked about the impact of recession on the company, he said, "It is important
to realise that the recession is here and now, and nobody can escape from this.
At the same time being in the health industry, we are rather insulated to an
extent. In our life science business, we may see some delays but not gross reduction."
