Hiranandani Hospital Bags Quality Excellence Award
Dr LH Hiranandani Hospital, Mumbai has won the prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj,
Malcolm Baldridge Quality Excellence Award in the healthcare category.
Said Dr Akash S Rajpal, AGM Operations, Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital, "The
competition was represented by prominent JCI accredited and NABH accredited
healthcare institutes." Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital is already an NABH
and NABL awardee and has received the certifications for NABCB accredited ISO
9001:2000 QMS.
It is also recognised for various organ transplant programmes including renal
and liver transplant. The hospital also has been accredited by Diplomat of National
Board (DNB) as a teaching hospital for various specialties.
The award was instituted in 1996 to give special recognition to excellence in
organisations. To match the stature of international awards, the IMC Ramkrishna
Bajaj National Quality Award criteria are the same as the Malcolm Baldrige criteria
of the USA and follow similar rigorous process of training and evaluation.
