Upcoming Conf on Quality in Clinical Lab
The conference will focus on achieving cost effectiveness
and efficiency in laboratory management

Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC), Madurai is holding a National
Conclave on Clinical Laboratory Management on the February 14, 2009.
The hospital's department of laboratory services is well-equipped with fully
automated analysers and boasts of the latest equipment and methodologies. It
is highly quality-oriented and participates in external quality assurance programmes
with Bio-Rad (US), Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore and All India Institute
of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The theme of the conclave is, 'Quality
in Clinical Laboratory’. The conclave is being organised by Federation
of Hospital Administrators (FHA). The event would be followed by a post-conference
workshop on 'NABL standards and their application' on February 15, 2009. Around
500 delegates are expected to attend the conference.
Renowned national and international faculty from various related fields will
make it a highly focused conference on clinical laboratory management with high
scientific content. It will feature best practices and case studies from leading
industries, review of the accreditation process, providing current key issues
and new technology towards optimising the lab for better productivity and the
participants will have the opportunity to update their knowledge and skill on
the wide range of subjects covered. The organisers hope that such conferences
will initiate a move towards achieving cost effectiveness and efficiency in
laboratory management.
