An oxygen concentrator is an electronically operated device that provides an uninterrupted supply of oxygen as and when required, at the touch of a button. The oxygen concentrator draws in room air, separates the oxygen from other gases in the air and delivers the oxygen at high concentrations to the patient. Although the concentrator filters oxygen from the room air, it will not affect the normal amount of oxygen in the room.

EM 200

Transasia Bio-Medicals Limited offers a holistic solution in EM 200 by catering to the biochemist's need of work-flow management, ease-of-operation and full automation. For laboratories with medium workload the main concern is a chemistry analyser with high throughput coupled with flexibility in reporting of biochemistry and Immuno-turbidimetry assays. EM 200 ascertains throughput of 400 tests/ hr with ISE thereby providing high turnaround time. Sample unit comprises of 39 positions for samples, blank, controls, stat and standards while reagent unit comprises of 50 cooled positions. EM 200 being an open system permits the user to choose the reagents thus dissuading the usage of exclusive reagents in closed system analysers. Reagent consumption is reduced due to minimal reading volume of 180 µl. Reaction cuvettes in EM 200 are made of permanent hard glass thereby ensuring cost-effective and reliable results by reducing operational cost, minimising downtime for cuvette replacement and also averting scratches in normal working conditions as they have an edge over disposable plastic/ polystyrene cuvettes which are prone to scratches during handling and loading. On board laundary in EM 200 gives an economical edge as recurring costs in replacement of cuvettes is averted in this case. Moreover, the cuvette validation check skips dirty cuvettes from participating in the assay.

An extensive Quality control (QC) is essential to ascertain daily performance of analyser with respect to accuracy and precision. EM 200 is equipped with an efficient QC programme comprising of Levy Jennings chart, twin plot and westgard rules. Levy Jennings chart gives us information on daily and monthly QC for individual controls whereas twin plot enables us to validate two controls simultaneously.

Westgard rules help customer to reject the run if rule is violated. Photometer consists of eight static filters of wavelengths 340-670nm. Also, it has facility for conducting auto re-run, auto dilution of sample as per demand. Bi-directional connectivity and optional barcode reader for sample and reagent are additional facilities permissible in EM 200. Thus, EM 200, the fully automated, random access clinical chemistry analyser, gives a holistic support to the customer by providing high throughput, precise and accurate results, facilitates real-time monitoring, provides flexibility in reagent pack sizes to minimise wastage, efficient QC programme, easy-to-use software, flexibility to run special chemistries and immuno turbidimetry assays apart from routine chemistries, eliminates manual interventions thereby enhancing productivity and cost efficiency.
