The vision and dream of renowned surgeon, Dr Narendra Kumar Pandey, the hospital is built at a cost of Rs 45 lakh per bed. The project is funded by the promoters, friends and associates along with a consortium of nationalised banks (Punjab National Bank and Sindh Bank).

The location is strategic. Located at Faridabad (NCR), it will be conveniently accessible from Delhi and other parts of North India. The hospital will cater to the needs of people from South Delhi, South Haryana, West UP, North Rajasthan and other north Indian states.

AIMS has acquired Rapid Arch-IGRT and IMRT Linear Accelerator (Varian), the first of its kind to be installed in North India for its cancer centre supported by the surgical and medical oncology departments. In addition, the hospital will have 11 modular operation theatres equipped with operating microscopes, image intensifiers, laparoscopic equipment, Harmonic, RFA Laser, Cusa etc; a comprehensive cardiac care programme including non-invasive and interventional procedures and cardiac surgery; a dedicated trauma care team comprising orthopaedicicians, surgeons, neurosurgeons and vascular surgeons; round-the-clock facility for dialysis including SLED and CRRT for renal care; an imaging department equipped with the state-of-the art Philips equipment including a 1.5 Tesla MRI (the first PET CT in South Delhi/Faridabad); mammography, bone densitometer, high end ECHO, 4D ultrasound and digital X-Ray.

In addition, it will also have a comprehensive laboratory and blood bank and preventive health check-up facilities tailored to individual requirement. It also plans to have a health club and spa and a 250-seat auditorium and amphitheatre for conferences, workshops and seminars.

Dr Pandey has previously served as Executive Director and Chief Administrator of Escorts Hospital and Research Centre, Faridabad, for 25 years. Blue Sapphire Healthcares Pvt Ltd is planning to follow the hub and spoke strategy for future expansion. "A number of centers are planned at other locations, catering to the localised requirements and connecting to the central facility at Faridabad for maximum utilisation of the highly skilled team and state-of-the-art equipment," adds Dr Pandey.
