Supply chain management can be used as a survival kit for

Global
economic meltdown has affected almost all countries. The Indian economy is also
facing slowdown, in terms of decreasing industrial production, inflation, decreasing
job opportunities, cost cutting and reducing purchasing power parity. Supply
chain management can be used as a survival kit for any business and mainly during
such times. We should analyse activity based costing, based on that they can
monitor leakage in supply chain. It also helps organisation in effective cost
control.
Thus, the department of Materials Management of Apollo Hospitals Bilaspur is
organising its second serial seminar on 8th August 2009 on 'The Role of Supply
Chain Management in Recession'. The seminar will have faculties of national
and international repute. This will be an interactive session, where the participants
will form all business aspects. The seminar will be graced by the presence of
Narotham Reddy, Vice President- Materials Apollo Hospitals Groups as a Chief
Guest and MV Sarma, Vice President- Materials Apollo Health City Hyderabad,
AK Karan Chief General Manager- Materials, South Eastern Coal Fields Ltd as
the guest of honour.
