Dr Lal PathLabs Launches Laboratories in Jalandhar, Amritsar & Panipat

The company bets big on Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh

Dr Arvind Lal

Dr Lal PathLabs, India's leading medical diagnostics company, has opened three state-of-the-art pathology laboratories in Jalandhar, Amritsar and Panipat. The new laboratories will deliver world-class diagnostic services with the quickest turn-around time to the people of Punjab and Haryana.

The pathology major has also entered into a laboratory management contract with Jindal Hospital, Hissar. Dr Lal PathLabs has two existing laboratories in Chandigarh and Ludhiana, six Patient Service Centres and 150 collection centres across Punjab and Haryana. The LPL network serves more than five lakh patients in this region every year and an estimated additional 2.5 lakh patients will be benefited every year following the opening of the new labs.

The newly opened laboratories form a part of Dr Lal PathLab's constant endeavour to provide the best possible diagnostic facilities to every Indian. With the new centres in place, the pathology major has 40 such laboratories across India.

With the opening of these laboratories, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Panipat will now be on Dr Lal PathLab's National Pathology Grid (NPG), which integrates the entire network of LPL labs across the country. The network is connected with the help of high-tech software system and satellite technology, resulting in complete hands-off operations and error free results.

Dr Arvind Lal, CMD, Dr Lal PathLabs, said, "We have been serving the people of Chandigarh and Ludhiana for the last four years. During this period, we have enjoyed unstinted support from the physicians and the general public of these two cities. We are confident of the service quality that we will be providing to our new customers in Jalandhar, Amritsar and Panipat."

OP Manchanda, CEO, Dr Lal PathLabs, said, "The new centres represent an important step towards our expansion plans across Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Thanks to our reputation of excellence over the last 60 years and having revolutionised laboratory testing in India with 'hands-off automated computerised testing', there is a constant demand to set up new laboratories in this region."

Dr Lal PathLabs was the first company to introduce high-end and esoteric tests that were not available in Punjab and Haryana earlier. "With the launch of the new laboratories, the people of Punjab and Haryana will now experience the quickest turn-around time of getting test reports," Manchanda added. A quick turn-around time is crucial for modern medicine as 70 per cent of treatment decisions are based on laboratory investigations.

The Chandigarh laboratory, Dr Lal said, will continue as a hub for Punjab-Haryana-Himachal Pradesh. "Our effort shows that we are extremely serious about our patients in North India. Our hi-tech, hi-touch and hi-speed services at affordable costs with a total solution in laboratory investigations will help our physician colleagues offer high calibre healthcare solutions to the people of these cities and the surrounding region. We would certainly like to be the preferred lab services provider for all the people in this region," Manchanda added.
