ABMH Launches Accident Insurance & Free Bus Service

Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital (ABMH) at Chinchwad, Pune recently launched a low premium accident insurance policy for the benefit of people of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Co-operation (PCMC). This scheme was launched at its foundation day on the 31st of July. The chief guest for the event was Aparna Doke, Mayor of PCMC.

The policy involves an annual premium of Rs 350 only against which the policy holder will be covered up to Rs 1 lakh for all road and rail accidents (subject to terms and conditions of the insurance policy) at ABMH. The low premium insurance policy can be taken by any one from 18 to 65 years of age. The policy covers cashless treatments in ABMH for 24 hours a day. The hospital has a well equipped accident and emergency department with 24x7 on-site multi-speciality consultant availability. The hospital's accident & emergency department consists of latest equipment such as cardiac monitors with non-invasive blood pressure and arterial interventional blood pressure facilities, a dedicated ventilator, infusion and syringe pumps, dedicated crash carts with the latest defibrillator with pacing capabilities. The department has a dedicated poly trauma bay for any major accident cases. Paediatric emergency bed ensures that even the most serious paediatric cases can be handled without any

problems. Said Dr BK Trivedi, CEO, ABMH, " A small contribution of less than Re 1 per day per person can be of immense support and save you from heavy financial burden in such a difficult time. Being located near the highways, we have been receiving accident cases almost everyday. Not all victims are insured against accidents. We want to equip citizens with this low premium policy, so that they can avail the superior healthcare facilities, with ease.”

ABMH also launched a free bus service for patients and their relatives from main stops like Shivajinagar, Aundh, Baner etc in Pune.
