India's First Stem Cell Therapy Laboratory Launched
It will introduce fat and skin cell therapies in near future
RMS Regrow, India's leading cell therapy services company,
has launched its first cell therapy laboratory in Lonavala, in the state of
Maharashtra. RMS lab will facilitate Cartilage regeneration therapy (Chondron)
and bone regeneration therapy (Ossron). Chondron can enable prevention of early
osteoarthritis and finally avoid total knee replacement. Strategically placed
in Lonavala, the lab is easily accessible from Mumbai and Pune.
Based on the technology transfer from Sewon Cellontech, S
Korea, the entire processing and quality control of the cell-based therapies
has been designed and constructed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice
(GMP)/Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. The lab was inaugurated by the
Guest of Honour, Dong Yern Kim, the Consul General of South Korea recently at
the ceremony held at Shah Industrial estate, Nagargaon. Present at the occasion

Said Dong Yern Kim, Consul General of South Korea, "India
has emerged as a destination for innovative medical services and we are happy
to have a technological collaboration between India and Korea." Outlining
the progress and journey of RMS Regrow, Satyen Sanghavi, Chief Scientific Officer,
RMS Regrow, said, "RMS lab is the only facility in India that provides
cell culturing and application services for regeneration of cartilage and bone
cells. With the launch of these therapies, patients can now get affordable treatment
and easy access to medical assistance by reducing their overall cost by one
fourth of what they would incur abroad. We wish to redefine the current treatments
available in stem cell therapy and initiate the application of these therapies
to hospitals and doctors for the fast and improved recovery for cartilage and
bone repair. We will be soon introducing fat and skin cell therapies in near
future."
Said Dr Cheong-Ho-Chang, CEO & Chairman, Sewon Cellontech, South Korea,
"RMS Regrow is our partner and we wish to improve our technologies through
their support and provide the best services in the field of regenerative medicine
in India."
RMS Regrow will enable patients, particularly youngsters and sports personnel
to resume their active life without being marred or setback by the defects in
cartilage due to their strenuous activities. "Ossron will avoid endurance
of complex, painful hip replacement surgeries which arise due to bone necrosis
or other bone defects due to cancer and non-union fractures. Patients can look
positively towards increasing the life longevity by more than 20 years,"
added Sanghavi.
