Maquet Launches MCare Services for Critical Care, Cardiovascular & Surgical Workplaces
MCare Services, through its web-based MCare Portal, provides
the customer-specific information required for optimum life-cycle management
of the products
The requirements placed nowadays on the medical technology departments of hospitals
are immense. For the trend is increasingly one towards therapeutic overall concepts,
thus creating greater demand for user service and support. With growing cost
pressure, tighter budgets and more complex flows, many facilities are forced
to look for alternative solutions to their servicing and maintenance needs.
Maquet has developed new service and aftermarket offering MCare Services specifically
to meet these requirements. Servicing and maintenance are being optimised with
MCare Services from Maquet. In the future, MAQUET customers can utilise four
different contract types: MCare Preventive, MCare Plus, MCare Professional and
MCare Partner. These provide solutions with varying degrees of scope, allowing
medical technology departments to avail of services in accordance with their
individual requirements and needs. MCare Professional, for example, is tailored
to hospitals which have no medical technology department, or merely a small
one, and which have decided to outsource servicing and maintenance in full.
MCare Partner, in contrast, is aimed at clinics whose medical technology departments
regulate these tasks internally, yet who avail of the know-how of Maquet with
respect to technical support and training.
In addition to personal support, MCare Services, through
its web-based MCare Portal, provides the customer-specific information required
for optimum life-cycle management of the products from the documentation,
the latest updates, training units and up-to-date product information through
to e-learning. With MCare Remote Services, the Maquet service technicians can
access the devices any time as required via remote maintenance.
The combination of a correlation of individual needs when drawing up a contract,
the MCare Portal and the Remote Services show hospitals how it is possible,
despite intensive support, to operate cost-efficiently when it comes to servicing
and maintenance. Thus with the contract type MCare Partner, for example, the
servicing and maintenance costs may be allocated directly to the department
in the hospital which availed of the service. The costs are transparent and
clearly calculable, therefore. Additionally, with the option of remote maintenance
any problems that occur can be remedied more quickly. There is no downtime -
or only very little for the department affected, with a simultaneous reduction
in the travel expenses. MCare Services will be offered across all divisions
for all Maquet products from now onwards.
Maquet is a subsidiary of the publicly-listed Swedish GETINGE GROUP, a company
with over 2 billion euros in revenues (2008 fiscal year) and 12,800 employees
worldwide.
