ISLA 1000

ISLA is an Imager Side laser Aimer for C Arms. It is a unique innovation that enables to reduce unnecessary X Rays in orthopaedic OT rooms for doctors and nurses. A typical C Arm use in orthopaedic application requires positioning the Carm correctly with respect to the region of interest. Radiologists currently take several fluoro shots to achieve correct alignment of Carm. Further when C arm is moved from AP to lateral for different views, the object of interest again moves away from image center. As a result several X Ray shots are taken through out the procedure to bring the Object of interest within X Ray image again and again.

The Imager side laser is a simple latch-on tool that attaches to the Imager of standard 6" and 9" C-Arms and gives a cross laser mark reference on patient's body corresponding to the center of image. Hence next time the doctor needs to bring an area of interest within image, he shall ask the radiologist to use the laser to align the car correctly. After that the first shot taken is a productive shot.

The Imager Side laser aimer hence

  • Improves OT room productivity by providing a simple yet useful latch-on tool that allows positioning of C Arm w.r.t. area of interest without wasting a single X ray shot.
  • Overall OT room productivity improves as positioning is efficient and faster.
  • Lesser X Ray dosage to doctors and nurses who perform such surgeries everyday. The product hence improves safety standards f your hospital.

DryView 5850 Laser Imager is compact, affordable and easy to operate

Carestream Health India has announced the availability of its latest innovation with the high-image quality Carestream DryView5850 Laser Imager. The machine brings tabletop convenience and outstanding reliability with extra-sharp 508 pixels-per-inch resolution that makes it ideal for medical imaging applications and digital mammography.
