Moolchand Launches Swine Flu Screening Centre

Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi, in its efforts to assist the Government in curtailing the spread of swine flu, has launched Moolchand Swine Flu (H1N1) Screening Centre.

The centre offers H1N1 screening test, advices treatment and domiciliary quarantine for patients with mild to moderate symptoms and has an isolation ward facility for seriously ill patients. Said Dr Ellora Nanda, OPD Coordinator and Nodal Officer, Moolchand Swine Flu (H1N1) Screening Centre, Moolchand Medcity, "People with symptoms like fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, fatigue, diarrhea and vomiting in some cases for more than three days may be at risk and should immediately get themselves tested."

Moolchand is one of the first private hospitals in Delhi to be authorised by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India as a screening cum isolation facility unit for managing swine flu (H1N1) patients. In conformance with this approval, the Moolchand Swine Flu (H1N1) Screening Centre is following all clinical management protocols and infection control guidelines, as per WHO and Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India, informed Nanda.

To minimise cross infection, screenings are done by appointments only.
