Maquet Introduces New Task & Exam Lights Lucea Led: 100% Eco-friendly
Lucea produces a light with a high colour temperature 4500k
(close to sunlight) and perfect shadow dilution (no cast shadow or coloured
shadow)
With LUCEA, MAQUET has developed a new range of LED task and exam light geared
to cater for any medical environment (dermatology, gynaecology, minor surgery).
Thanks to the use of high performance and long lasting LED and thanks to MAQUET
expertise in OR light, LUCEA does not need any bulb replacement and it produces
a cold and shadow-free light.
Concerns for Environment
More and more hospitals, clinics, doctors are carefully selecting equipments
that are eco-friendly. When designing LUCEA, MAQUET has paid a special attention
at selecting environmentally friendly materials. "More than 80 per cent
of LUCEA is composed of recyclable materials and our LEDs are designed to last
for more than 20 years, avoiding therefore all the needs for bulb replacement,"
adds Frédéric Herpin, Marketing Director at MAQUET SA France.
A special package has also been created with a very compact design in order
to reduce waste to a minimum.
Excellent Shadow Dilution & Easy Cleaning
With the use of LEDs coupled with special lenses, LUCEA produces
a light with a high colour temperature 4500K (close to sunlight) and perfect
shadow dilution (no cast shadow or coloured shadow). Design of the light head
is very original with its arrow shape to point exactly at the wound and a closed
casing to make it easy to clean.
