Dhathri Targets Herbal Hair-wash Segment

By the year 2012, Dhathri expects to touch turnover of Rs 500 crore

A hair in the head is worth two in the brush', opined Oliver Herford, famously known as the American Oscar Wilde. Though the comment was made on a lighter vein, Herford's remark, however, underscores the importance of healthy hair. This being so, Dhathri Group announced the formal launch of Dhathri Chemparathi Thaali. Dhathri is positioning Chemparathi Thaali as the ultimate product in the natural hair-wash segment for rapid growth of healthy hair.

This herbal-hair-wash, comprising mainly the juicy extracts of hibiscus leaves, in fact, is a traditional hair-wash which had been in extensive use in Kerala for ages. Dhathri Managing Director Dr S Sajikumar said, "Dhathri Chemparathi Thaali is a 100 per cent traditional product, yet trendy and user-friendly, to suit modern-day lifestyle." "It's a clear liquid formulation free of hazardous chemicals. both in appearance and odour," he said.

Dhathri is deeply entrenched in Ayurveda and has a tradition of over 300 years. However, it went commercial only in 2003. It has 22 patented and proprietary OTC products in the market. Dhathri also has to its credit a wide range of classical drugs, besides 20 products which are promoted through doctors' prescription. Dhathri is the first to come up with the unique idea of ABS Slimming Programme based on the principle of Ayurveda's curative approach. By the year 2012, Dhathri expects to touch turnover of Rs 500 crore.
