Bajaj Allianz Launches Unique Health Insurance Plan

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has launched a unique health insurance plan— Bajaj Allianz Extra Care. This policy can be taken as an additional cover to any existing hospitalisation/medical expenses policy of any insurance company.

It has been observed that people who have health insurance cover from their employer are suddenly without adequate or no health cover, when they resign or move from the current to a new employer or is terminated. In such a scenario, 'Extra Care' is ideal for such people to have a basic or adequate health cover to fund their expenditure in case of illness or hospitalisation. 'Extra Care' works as a top-up cover and can complement ones existing group mediclaim or individual health policy.

The benefits are floater policy which can cover self, spouse and three children under single policy, three options of sum assured offered — Rs 10 lakh, Rs 12 lakh and Rs 15 lakh, competitive premium rates, no medical tests up to 55 years subject to clean proposal form and continuity for waiting periods would be given for any indemnity cover irrespective of sum insured in the earlier policy. For a cover of Rs 10 lakh, one needs to pay a premium of just Rs 2,500, which is amongst the lowest in the industry. The feature of being able to include up to four family members in the policy who may not be covered under the existing cover, at no added price is an added advantage.

Other Features
  • 50 per cent medical test charges would be reimbursed, for all cases where medical tests have been conducted in Bajaj Allianz empanelled diagnostic centre and the proposal has been accepted/premium received .
  • The policy covers ambulance charges in case of emergency subject to a maximum of Rs 3,000.
  • Seamless and fast claim settlement through Bajaj Allianz Health Administration team.
