Thampy to Open Office in India

Dubai-based healthcare consultancy firm—Thampy Management Consultancy is planning to start its Indian operations soon. Said Devi Nair, Director Consulting Services, Thampy Management Consultancy, "We started operations in the UAE in April this year covering the Middle East region. Now, we are ready to start our India operations by the end of this year. We would operate from Thiruvananthapuram to focus on projects in the southern part of the country, in the beginning."

Thampy was started as dealers in brass and steel trading by late P Madhavan Thampy in Thiruvananthapuram, about seven decades ago. "It was Thampy's vision to venture into healthcare industry that encouraged the next generation to venture into healthcare consultancy," said Nair, his grand daughter.
Thampy's core expertise lies in providing strategic, operational, biomedical, quality and branding consulting for healthcare establishments (green field and brown field), that enable them to thrive in today's complex business environment. Thampy develops new business concepts, offers change management assistance, develops plans for improvement of operational services and supports clients in welcoming the new reforms and challenges in the industry. The chief areas of focus are strategic planning and business model development, brand management, business process mapping, and accreditation.

Key members of Thampy are Devi Nair (accreditation consulting), VS Nair (financial consulting), Ted Baldwin (brand management consulting), Sreejith Aravindan (Web & IT consulting), Thomas Moncy (health informatics consulting), Dr Girish Kumar (operational consulting), Dennis Daniel (business development) and Dr Anoop S Nair (operational consulting).
