SevenHills Hospital Inaugurated in Mumbai
Out of the 1,500 beds, 300 are for critical care with dedicated
ICUs for cardiac, burns, neonates and paediatrics

SevenHills Group was recently inaugurated in Mumbai by President
Pratibha Patil. Spread over 17 acres of land at Marol, Andheri, SevenHills Hospital
will be one of Asia's largest hospital offering 1,500 beds and modern facilities,
with a vision to provide excellent healthcare at an affordable cost to all segments
of society. In the first phase, 300 beds will be operationalised.
Out of the 1,500 beds, 300 are for critical care with dedicated ICUs for cardiac,
burns, neonates and paediatrics. While another 300 beds are reserved for Brihanmumbai
Municipal Corporation (BMC) patients who can avail services at the same cost
offered by other BMC hospitals. SevenHills Hospital has built 120 OPD chambers
for consultants, 36 Modular Operation Theatres, four cath labs and 24 dialysis
units.
The spacious hospital offers a diverse range of medical,
surgical and diagnostic services under one roof. To name a few, there is Internal
medicine, paediatrics, ob/gyn, cardiology, nephrology & urology, oncology
under medical services. general and laparoscopic surgery, anaesthesiology, ophthamalogy,
histopathology, microbiology, haematology and radiology are some of the services
under surgical and diagnostic services respectively that can be availed by the
needy.
"Our vision is to make affordable and good quality healthcare
accessible for all patients. At our facilities, we create a hassle-free environment
for patients and their relatives. Hence, we call our Mumbai facility a HealthCity
and not just a hospital," said Dr Jitendra Das Maganti, Chairman &
Managing Director, SevenHills Hospital.
"With doctors from India and different parts of the
world, SevenHills Hospital will have more than 30 specialities. Apart from the
above mentioned services, some of the specialities are gastroentrology, neuro-sciences,
diabetology, stem cell transplant,reconstructive and cosmetic surgery,"
said Dr Hemalata Maganti, VP, Medical, SevenHills Hospital.
The hospital would also have a distinctly located wellness
centre that would offer various health check-up services. "The reason for
a separate wellness centre is to create a comfortable, stress-free environment
for our customers who would undergo health check-ups, without having to step
into a hospital occupied by patients and stressed relatives," added Dr
Hemalata. SevenHills offers 300 residential apartments to its doctors to ensure
that medical services are available on a 24/7 basis. The hospital has car parking
space for 1,500 vehicles and has an auditorium with a capacity for 350 people.
The hospital also plans to conduct courses for students and medical staff to
keep them abreast of the latest developments in the medical field. SevenHills
Hospital has a built-in electronic medical records system, making it a paperless
facility. It also has a pneumatic tube system for tranal records system, making
it a paperless facility. It also has a unique pneumatic tube system for transportation
of lab samples, medicines, etc across departments and floors within seconds
thus reducing the process time.
