Horizon 2010 In Mangalore
The conference will deliberate on financial & quality
aspects of hospital administration
Mangalore-based Father Muller Centre for Hospital Administration (FMCHA), a
wing of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, is hosting a national conference--Horizon
2010. The conference would be held from 5th to 7th August in its Mangalore campus.
FMCHA was started in the year 1996 with a view of creating
dynamic administrators in the healthcare sector committed to excellence. Horizon
is the signature event organised by the FMCHA for all those healthcare professionals
and students who aspire to excel. The theme of the conference is 'Creating Synergy
in Healthcare for excellence'.
The three-day conference will deliberate on financial and
quality aspects of hospital administration viz: hospital business process mapping
and re-engineering, hospital financial management of materials and medical equipments,
green hospitals and safety, activity-based costing in hospitals, economics of
quality and accreditation, IT for cost reduction in hospitals.
The conference is open for: Hospital CEOs, Directors/Administrators,
Medical, Nursing Managers / Professionals, System Executives Academicians, Students-Hospital
administration/Management and Researchers.
Along with the conference, a three-day exhibition of hospital planners and medical
equipments is also being organised as a gesture of creating synergy in healthcare.
Major equipment manufacturers and suppliers will be taking part in the exhibition.
Mangalore, ha ving the highest density of teaching hospitals as well as private
clinics and nursing homes, is an ideal place to hold such an exhibition and
conference. The participating manufacturers and suppliers have got ample opportunity
to make an impression in the minds of future administrators and people of calibre.
Further, the top management of the hospitals in DK district of Karnataka and
Kasaragod District of Kerala are the special invitees for the exhibition.
The participants of the conference are also invited to participate in the poster
and paper presentation competitions on the topics of the conference. Applications
for paper presentation with 500 words abstract) and with theme for poster presentation
must reach the organizing secretary before July 31st.
