'Hospital Infrastructure India' Exhibition

The exhibition will also have a series of seminars, workshops & an international technical conference

Hospital Infrastructure India (HII), to be held from 7 th to 9th December 2010 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, is organised by IIR Exhibitions India. It is part of Informa Plc., a leading international organiser of exhibitions and conferences, with experience in organising some of the world's largest medical events including Arab Health and global Hospital Build series. HII aims to provide exhibitors with a world class professional exhibition experience here in India.

Leading hospitals such as Fortis, Hinduja, Hiranandani and Lilavati have partnered and fully supported the event. HII 2010 has also received strong support from the key trade associations including Biomedical Engineering Society of India (BESEI), Federation of Hospital Administrations (FHA), Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management (ISHWM), Indian Association of Structural Engineers (IASE), the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI) and The Indian Confederation for Healthcare Accreditation (ICHA).

"We are delighted with the support from key associations, industry players and the foremost authorities from the healthcare sector from India and abroad. With less than six months left for the event, the exhibition space is more than 70 percent sold," said Guru Prasath, Group Exhibitions Director for IIR Exhibitions India. On the need for such an event here in India, Guru says, "India has urgent requirements to upgrade its hospital infrastructure as well as build new hospitals to meet the growing demand. To achieve this, access is needed to a broad range of products, services and technologies. HII is designed to be a key link in facilitating that objective."

The industry support re-inforces the need in India for a platform for hospital infrastructure industry which will be ideal for the convergence of the latest technology and business opportunities in this realm. Speaking about its participation at HII 2010, Ralph Hawkins, Chairman and CEO HKS Inc, said, "HKS is delighted to be a part of the Hospital Infrastructure India 2010. We are excited to have this opportunity to showcase how HKS has successfully integrated the internationally adopted best practices in healthcare design in the regional context of India."

Arjun Shahani, Managing Director, Armstrong India, another exhibitor at HII 2010, adds, "With global 4 beds per 1,000 population, India just has 0.7 beds per 1000. This itself speaks volumes about the need to develop hospital infrastructure in India, over the coming years." Says Dr Vivek Desai, MD, HOSMAC, "Hospital Infrastructure India will be the perfect platform for all diverse players in the healthcare industry to showcase their products and services. Entrepreneurs and health providers will find this a unique destination to network and connect for future growth.” HOSMAC will be the knowledge partner for HII 2010.

The three-day exhibition will be complemented by a series of seminars, workshops and an international technical conference. The conference will cover vital issues connected to hospital infrastructure such as design and construction of green hospitals, latest trends in specialty & facility design as well as project financing options aimed to provide hospital professionals with an opportunity to learn about the newest trends and technologies and its applicability in the region.
