India is recognised as a global destination for the healthcare industry. In the light of this fact, MEDICALL is India's premier medical equipment expo. It has evolved into being the only fair in India, big enough to qualify as the supermarket for hospital equipment and supplies. It showcases a comprehensive range from Hospital Information System, solutions, surgical and examination furniture, rescue and emergency equipment, to diagnostic/laboratory equipment dental / ophthalmology equipment, medical disposables and cleaning equipment. The show's biggest plus is that it draws the highest percentage of hospital owners, doctors, medical directors and purchase heads. It has proved to be a highly successful platform for attracting affluent producers, dealers and suppliers. This is evident from the numbers at the previous hosting— its 4th edition in 2009— which drew 5600 trade visitors of which 70 per cent were hospital administrators and doctors.

Now in its 5th edition, MEDICALL 2010 will be hosted from 06-08 August 2010, at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. It will bring together the best in the business of hospital, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, medical and rehabilitation equipment and supplies. The range of exhibits stretches from the diminutive syringes to top-of-the-line ambulances. This edition however, specialises in breakthrough hospital management software, energy saving equipments, hospital flooring, housekeeping equipments, nurses alarm system, liquid oxygen and central pipeline, physiotherapy equipments, autoclave and sterilizers.

Chennai is the venue of choice because it is the head quarters of one of India's first corporate chain of hospitals namely Apollo Hospitals. Besides, Chennai is one of the main cities to attract medical tourists and has seen a proliferation of numerous 'Health Cities' in and around given its excellent connectivity by rail, road and air. Moreover, new universal health insurance schemes introduced by South Indian states have attracted lot of investors in the healthcare sector in South India.

MEDICALL 2010 is an ideal platform to reach target audiences in Indian healthcare industry comprising biomedical engineers, doctors, diagnostic centers, hospitals, healthcare services, investors for healthcare industry, medical directors, medical colleges and purchase managers. As in its previous editions, the other impressive feature of MEDICALL 2010 will be its three concurrent conferences namely:

1) International Conference on Molecular Diagnostics - 7th August 2010.
2) Conference on Hospital Cost Control - 6th & 7th August 2010.
3) Australian Accreditation for Hospitals & Polyclinics - 8th August.

The high point of the se conferences will be the presentations by eminent international speakers with a string of achievements to their own credit.

Medexpert, the organisers of MEDICALL, are a reputed name in events and trade shows for the healthcare industry. Being leading trade fair organisers in Chennai, they have proved their high degree of professionalism by attracting the right target audiences through highly effective and focused marketing strategies. This is reflected in the level of satisfaction its participants have derived from this unmatched platform over the years. Medexpert are totally committed to making the exhibition experience of exhibitors both profitable and efficient by maximising return on their
investment.

Little wonder then that of the two exhibition halls, the one measuring 4000 sq. m is totally sold out, while the other hall with floor space of 3000 sq. m. has only a few stalls available. The total number of exhibitors - mainly medical equipment manufacturers- has already reached 250. With such an impressive showing, the organisers expect close to 8000 quality visitors including those from countries like South Africa, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ghana and Pakistan.

MEDICALL 2010 is co-sponsored by Shuter Enterprises India Pvt Limited and Premier Enterprises, all leading names in the field of medical equipment and healthcare.

With such credentials and an impressive track record MEDICALL 2010 is slated to be bigger and more incisive in terms of content and participation. In turn, it will provide a big boost to the healthcare in general and medical equipment industry in particular.
