Carestream Health India Launches Innovative DRYVIEW Chroma Imager That Prints Medical Images to Film and Paper

Carestream Health has recently launched the new DRYVIEW Chroma Imager, which just received FDA clearance, to healthcare providers across the globe. This flexible printer outputs grayscale and color DICOM images from most digital modalities onto Chroma Medical Film for diagnosis or Chroma Medical Paper for use by referring physicians and patients. The new DRYVIEW Chroma Imager eliminates the need for multiple printers and minimises operating costs with affordable consumables and low maintenance requirements.

“This high-quality printer delivers exceptional convenience by performing diagnostic, referral and archival printing for hospitals, imaging clinics, physicians’ offices and other healthcare providers across the globe,” said Prabir Chatterjee, MD, Carestream Health India. “It enables colour or grayscale printing of images on demand at any location and replaces the need for multiple printers dedicated to either film or paper.” The DRYVIEW Chroma Imager prints studies from PET/CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, general purpose computed radiography, general purpose digital radiography, PACS and image-enabled EMR systems. It also supports dental printing applications. Image processing software is integrated within the DICOM interface for optimised image quality.

The versatility of the DRYVIEW Chroma Imager allows radiology departments to minimise capital and operating costs by combining film and paper output into one imaging system. Simplicity and affordability make this new tabletop imager pefect for a wide range of applications.

The DRYVIEW Chroma Imager is also ideal for printing from advanced visualisation tools such as 3D volume rendering, colour mapping and vessel analysis. It supports four medical film sizes and three medical paper sizes with a choice of glossy or matte finish.
