Units Installed in India

SANRAD Medical Systems installed their first mstar 4500 system in India at Megavision, pune where the customer was thinking initially of a high field Supercon system. After seeing the demo images and going through the data sheets customer was convinced of MDT's superior design and quality and decided in favour of mastar 4500

Megavision is one of the primier imaging centre which caters the needs of a large number of patients and highly qualified consultants in and around pune.

SANRAD MDT engineers designed a spacious magnet and equipment room as per customer wish and completed the installation in planned one month time frame.

First trial images were very satisfactory and was matching what we have in mind from a high field open MRI, said Dr. Bhate, Director of Megavision.

"System operating system is windows XP based and is very friendly, You can almost learn the system in one day to operate" .said Mr.Sameer Deshmukh, director of MR imaging at Megavision.

"We have at least 3 confirmed order for 4500 in the first quarter of 2009 and new upgraded software is being tested now in the factory which will further enhance image quality and user friendliness. We have great expectation about this product becoming a big success in India", Added Som Panicker who is recently taken over as Head of MR Product division of SANRAD MEDICAL SYSTEMS

Testimonials

Dr Vivek Yadkikar, Hi-Tech Institute of Imaging & Research, Latur, Maharashtra

I am an old customer of Sanrad. I am using refurbished CT scanners of Toshiba, supplied and maintained by Sanrad since last eight years. About eight months back, I have purchased MRI machine from them.

Currently, I have two spiral CT scanners and one MRI machine supplied by Sanrad. It has got fast acquisition time and very good image quality. The examination time is short and the open design is quite comfortable for the patient. The image quality is exceptionally excellent. The diffusion weighed images are excellent and are best in the permanent magnet category.

The machine is very cost-effective for its performance. We are doing all routine and advanced imaging work on this machine since last eight months. We are very happy with its performance. The other most important aspect is the most reliable service of Sanrad. Overall, we are happy with the machine. The area of improvement according to me is in few musculoskeletal studies.

Dr Kedar Bhate,Megavision Scan Centre, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune

I would say, it's a very good machine. It is an open magnet 0.45 tesla. Other machines are closed, this is an open one. It makes the patients very comfortable. They don't feel claustrophobic. It is comparable to 1.5 tesla supercon machines. I bought this machine about a year-and-half ago.

It is cost-effective. It doesn't need helium. So far, there has been no breakdown, the power con is also very low. One can run the entire machine on a single point. It is also user friendly.

The only disadvantage or the area of improvement is the scan time. The scan time is 25 minutes. It can be reduced to 15-20 minutes using high-end softwares.
