Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals registers top line growth of 13 per cent for the financial year 2011-12

The Indraprastha Medical Corporation Limited (IMCL), New Delhi has declared its results for the year ending March 31, 2012.

The total income of the hospital stood at Rs 52262.03 lakh as compared to Rs 46241.51 lakh in the previous year, registering a growth of 13 per cent.

The profit before tax stood at Rs 4002.16 lakh as compared to Rs 4526.83 lakh over the  previous year. It has seen an increase in average occupancy at 539 beds as against 502 beds in the previous year.  The Board of Directors have recommended a dividend of 16 per cent i.e. Rs 1.60 per share.

The Organ Transplant Programme was highly successful and the performance was outstanding. Kidney transplant increased from 176 to 340 – a growth of 93 per cent and liver transplant increased from 167 to 219 cases – a growth of 31 per cent.

As part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to creating health awareness and providing preventive care to the general public, 20 CME programmes, 32 health camps, 10 health talks and 44 specialty clinics were organised. Further, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, has been conducting a community outreach programme wherein regular free OPDs have been conducted at its Jasola Clinic.

Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals has also serviced the community through its mobile health scheme, in collaboration with the Delhi Government, in five economically depressed areas in the city. Under this scheme, a number of patients belonging to economically weaker sections have been screened and provided medical care at their doorsteps.Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi,  is also  planning to add 80 beds in the coming 12 months. The hospital is also planning to commission a surgical day care centre in South Delhi.
