On the occasion of World Hemophilia Day 2013, KEM Hospital, in association with Hemophilia Society – Mumbai Chapter (HSMC), is organising an event to dispense information about the disease and to discuss various aspects connected to it.
The event will be held from 11:30 am onwards Sunday, April 21, 2013 at MLT Hall, College Building, KEM Hospital Parel, Mumbai.
The event will be attended by personalities like Indira Nair, President, Hemophilia Society – Mumbai Chapter and Dr Jayashree Kale, Professor and Head Occupational Therapy, KEM Hospital, Mumbai
The agenda of the event would include:
- Theraband exercise training under the instruction of Dr. Jayashree Kale
- Information on State Government support/ Rajiv Gandhi Jeevadayi Arogya Yojana/Local treatment center support for haemophilia
- Inauguration of a Wellness Centre at HSMC with the help of interdisciplinary school of Health Science, University of Pune
- Address by Hemophilia Society, Mumbai Chapter
- Launch of I believe I can fly campaign as an initiative for the Hemophilic patients and how patients are benefitting.
The Wellness Centre would be inaugurated by Dr Ankita Kar, Director – Associate Professor, Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences and Dr Supriya M (Pune University)
