Nova Medical Centres launch the Nova Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital for orthopaedics, spine and rheumatogy in South Delhi at Nehru Enclave. The hospital reportedly will deliver the full spectrum of services in orthopaedics – from surgery to rehabilitation. Nova Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital covers the entire range of musculoskeletal disorders: joint replacements, spinal surgery, sports medicine and arthroscopy, paediatric orthopaedics, trauma and rehabilitation. The 40-bed boutique facility contains three operation theatres, which reportedly comprises the latest and most advanced robotic technology.
The OTs contain a C – arm for a 360-degree view and 3D imaging for diagnostic and surgical intervention, a pinless computerised navigation machine for knee and hip surgeries, a surgical spinal table that delivers a 360 degree view of the spine and Mazor Robotics’ Renaissance, a specially designed surgical guidance system that supposedly allows surgeons to perform safer and more accurate spine surgeries. Other services include a 32-slice CT, digital x-ray, fully-fledged pathology lab and advanced physiotherapy equipment. With ambulance service, a trauma center and round-the-clock coverage by an orthopaedic surgeon, anestheologist and intensivist, the center is fully prepared for any orthopaedic emergency.
