Marengo Asia Hospitals organises Gurgaon’s Got Talent ahead of World Stroke Day

Event draws over 300 attendees and receives around 500 entries

Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram, organised the inaugural edition of Gurgaon’s Got Talent on October 27 at Epicenter, Gurugram. Held ahead of World Stroke Day on October 29, the event received around 500 entries and drew over 300 attendees. Centred on the theme “Sing for Stroke”, the programme brought together music and humour to draw attention to stroke awareness, including the importance of recognising symptoms and seeking timely medical attention.

The event was attended by Harjeet Kohli, Managing Director, Airtel; DJ Barkha Kaul; and Deepali Jetley, Chief People Officer, Marengo Asia Hospitals, who served as judges. The evening was hosted by RJ Khurafati Nitin.

A total of 14 participants took the stage, including two doctors and 12 individuals from different professional and personal backgrounds. The programme featured 13 singing performances and one stand-up comedy act.

Kaushal Kishor Jha emerged as the winner of the inaugural edition, while Adresh Pandey and Varun Sindhiya secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. Four other participants received special recognition. All participants were presented with certificates, while the winners received awards.

Dr Raajiv Singhal, Founding Member, Managing Director & CEO, Marengo Asia Hospitals, said, “At Marengo Asia Hospitals, we believe that healthcare extends beyond treatment to include awareness, prevention and community engagement. Gurgaon’s Got Talent brought people together through music and performance to reinforce a message that can make a real difference to lives. Stroke can affect people across age groups, and knowing its warning signs and seeking emergency medical care without delay are crucial. The encouraging response to this initiative reflects the power of community participation in spreading awareness, and we hope to continue building on this effort in the years ahead.”

Dr Praveen Gupta, Chairman, Marengo Asia International Institute of Neuro and Spine (MAIINS), Marengo Asia Hospitals, said, “It was heartening to see people from different walks of life come together, share their talent and support a common cause. While the performances made the evening memorable, the larger purpose was to ensure that the message of stroke awareness reaches more people. Stroke can happen at any age, and recognising the warning signs and acting immediately can be life-changing. If even one person leaves the event better equipped to recognise a stroke and seek help without delay, we will have made a meaningful difference. I thank all the participants and attendees for being part of this initiative and look forward to seeing it grow in the coming years.”

The event formed part of Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram’s, World Stroke Day awareness activities. The hospital plans to organise Gurgaon’s Got Talent annually, with stroke awareness remaining its central theme.
