Funding in healthcare drops, April sees a 25% decline

According to Tracxn, total funding amounted to $57.7 million across 14 rounds in April 2025

The India Pharma & Healthcare Funding Tracker for April 2025 indicates a significant drop in funding activity compared to both the previous month (March 2025) and the same period last year (April 2024). Total funding amounted to $57.7 million across 14 rounds, marking a 25.94 per cent decline from $77.9 million raised in the previous month and a more substantial 92.33 per cent drop from the same month last year. 

Seed stage funding accounted for 16.2 per cent ($9.3 million) of the total funding, Early stage funding accounted for 55.5 per cent ($32 million) of the total funding, and Late stage funding accounted for 28.3 per cent ($16.3 million) of the total funding raised in April 2025. 

The largest deal in April 2025 was by Mosaic Wellness, raising $20 million, followed by SRV Hospitals with $16.3 million and HexaHealth with $12 million. 

In April 2025, 3one4 Capital invested in HexaHealth, while OTP Ventures invested in Phab and Ideaspring Capital invested in Tvaster Genkalp.
