[3] COVID-19 significantly boosted health insurance adoption and awareness. Insurers developed innovative low-premium models, although providers noted they have yet to see corresponding benefits in terms of cost recovery or service payments.
[4] The Ayushman Bharat scheme is a major step forward, but concerns were raised over its viability for hospitals due to unrealistic tariffs and cumbersome processes. Smooth operations and better provider representation are needed for success.
