Aksigen IVF presents patient voice research at ISPOR Asia Pacific Summit 2026

A large-scale analysis of public conversations about fertility treatment and care, beyond the consultation room, points to the central place of credible information and support in the fertility experience.

Aksigen IVF, in collaboration with SIRO Clinpharm and SIROai, presented patient voice research at the Asia Pacific Summit 2026 of ISPOR, the Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research, held in Bangkok, Thailand from 6 to 8 September 2026. The study examined the informational, emotional, decisional and navigational needs that people express when they discuss fertility treatment and care in public online communities, beyond the consultation room.

The research analysed more than 22,000 public online posts and comments about fertility. Rather than surveying patients directly, it looked at what people say in their own words, in open discussion, giving a view of the questions and concerns they carry through treatment.

For Aksigen IVF, the study is part of a wider commitment to generating its own evidence and applying it in practice. As a knowledge-driven fertility institution, Aksigen invests in patient education, clinical research and scientific collaboration, and uses what it learns to shape the way it informs and supports patients.

Dr Gautam V. Daftary, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Aksigen IVF said, “At Aksigen IVF, we believe fertility care must be rooted in knowledge rather than routine. We are among the few fertility providers in India that generate our own research and allow its findings to reshape how we counsel and treat patients, rather than simply following convention. This study reflects that commitment, and it is why we established the Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre: to help close the very information gaps that patients themselves tell us matter most.”

The research was presented by Dr Varsha Patial, Centre Head at Aksigen IVF who said, “What stood out in the research is how much of what people are seeking is information and understanding, before anything else. Alongside that, they look for emotional support, help with difficult decisions and guidance through the practical steps of treatment. These needs are not the same at every stage: what someone wants before starting differs from what they need during a cycle or afterwards. Credible, timely information and counselling should therefore be part of the care pathway at every stage, not offered only inside the consultation room.”

Rushabh Mehta, CEO of SIROai, who led the analytical method added, “Analysing conversations on this scale would take a human team an impractically long time. Our approach pairs a purpose-built codebook and a fixed, structured prompt with AI classification that we validate against expert human coding, so the model works to the standard of our reviewers at a scale and speed they could not reach alone. That is what allows patient voice to sit alongside conventional clinical evidence with confidence.”

The presentation at ISPOR Asia Pacific Summit 2026 adds to Aksigen IVF’s growing record of research and evidence generation in reproductive medicine. The institution continues to invest in patient education, clinical research and the Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre, its dedicated fertility education initiative, in keeping with its founding idea that better information leads to better care.
