Dr Harsh Mahajan engaged with the radiology community in Kolkata during the UAcademy Case-Based Hands-On MSK Course (MR & CT) held at Suraksha Clinic and Diagnostics. The session addressed developments in musculoskeletal imaging and discussed the role of MRI and CT in the diagnosis of ligament injuries, fractures and joint conditions. Dr Mahajan stated that accurate interpretation and optimised scanning protocols are required to support patient care.
Dr Harsh Mahajan is the Founder of Mahajan Imaging, New Delhi, and a former President of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association. He currently serves as Director of Nuclear Medicine and Bone Densitometry at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He is a Padma Shri awardee and has served as Honorary Radiologist to the President of India and Honorary Consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
As part of the programme, Dr Mahajan conducted a session titled “Excellence in MSK Imaging”, where he shared clinical cases, diagnostic approaches and reporting practices through a case-based, hands-on format. The workshop was conducted under the UAcademy Learning Centre, an initiative developed in collaboration with Suraksha Clinic and Diagnostics, United Imaging and Medika Bazaar. Representatives from Suraksha Clinic and Diagnostics and United Imaging stated that the learning centre will conduct structured three-day programmes aimed at skill development for radiologists and technical teams.
The three-day programme also included sessions by Dr V N Varaprasad, Dr Chaitali Parekh, Dr Srijita Ghosh, Dr Hirak Ray Choudhury, Dr Sudipta Sarkar, Dr Ankur Shah, Dr Dipankar Das, Dr Akash Gandhamal and Dr Krishanu Saha. The programme followed a case-based structure to support clinical application and decision-making in musculoskeletal imaging.
