IHH Healthcare Berhad (IHH), an integrated healthcare provider, has announced a strategic collaboration between its India subsidiaries—Fortis Healthcare (Fortis) and Gleneagles Healthcare India (Gleneagles India). This move aims to enhance business performance and support long-term growth in the Indian healthcare market.

As part of the agreement, Fortis will manage operations at five of the six hospitals currently under the Gleneagles India network through an Operation and Maintenance Services (O&M Services) arrangement. This decision is designed to improve operational scale and geographical reach across IHH’s India operations, while each entity retains its talent pool and financial autonomy.

The collaboration is expected to enable both organisations to leverage complementary strengths in clinical care and management while achieving synergies in operational and financial areas. The agreement is subject to acceptance and acknowledgment from relevant parties.

Commenting on the development, Dr Prem Kumar Nair, Group Chief Executive Officer of IHH, said, “The O&M Services agreement reflects our commitment to long-term growth in one of our most important markets, by deepening collaboration that will enhance patient care and outcomes and drive greater operational efficiencies. With our shared commitment and complementary strengths, we are creating a comprehensive pan-India hospital network to meet the evolving healthcare needs of millions across the country.”
