Gleneagles Hospitals, Parel, Mumbai has introduced a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and expanded obstetrics services as part of its ongoing efforts to improve maternal and newborn healthcare. The high-tech NICU and obstetrics services are designed to provide specialised care for neonates and expectant mothers, incorporating the latest medical technologies to meet complex healthcare needs.
The NICU, which is equipped with four beds, is specifically intended to care for neonates up to 30 days old, particularly those born prematurely or with critical conditions or congenital issues. The facility features advanced ventilators, warmers, and neurodevelopment assessment tools, which help manage a range of challenges such as respiratory distress, infections, and growth concerns. A team of trained pediatricians and nurses provide 24×7 monitoring and expert care.

The new obstetrics services at Gleneagles Hospitals include specially designed labour suites that aim to enhance maternal comfort and provide comprehensive support throughout the birthing process. These suites combine the privacy of a personal room with the full capabilities of a modern labour room, ensuring a seamless and supportive environment for mothers.
