Gurugram’s COVID only facility opens up in Manesar

The hospital has approximately 150 beds including 24 critical care beds

In order to deal with rising COVID-19 cases in Gurugram, a new COVID only facility has opened up in Manesar, Gurugram. This has happened as a coming together of Medanta – The Medicity, Fortis, Artemis and Medeor. 

The facility was opened to the public today by VS Kundu, Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana and CEO, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) along with Ashok Sangwan, Commissioner, Gurugram, Vinay Pratap Singh, MCG Commissioner, Gurugram and Amit Khatri, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram.

The hospital has approximately 150 beds including 24 critical care beds. The hospital will only be serving confirmed COVID-19 patients from Gurugram district for which a valid COVID-19 test certificate will be required to get admission to the hospital.

The facility has invested in infrastructure upgrades including superior infection control system, negative pressure ICU rooms, and isolation rooms with HEPA filter exhausts. Senior medical personnel from Medanta, Fortis and Artemis will be staffed to look after patients.

The Hospital is being funded through a collaboration between partner hospital groups, private sector companies in Gurugram, civil society and NGOs such as I Am Gurgaon. A group of private sector CEOs have come together to provide funding support to the hospital, which will tend to patients from all walks of life.
