Dr Nitin Deshpande, Director, Shri Ramkrishna Netralaya said, “ICL can correct even very high spectacles power safely that cannot be corrected with any other procedure.”

He further added that It is may be an option for patients who are not candidates for other vision correction procedures like LASIK, PRK. It does not cause dry eye syndrome, which can be a side effect of other vision correction procedures, it provides excellent night vision, No bleeding, no pain, and no hospitalization. It also helps in preserving accommodation and helps in retaining the corneal Asphericity. It can be removed if needed.  The Netralay stands in top 10 of eye care hospitals and its new branch will soon be opened in Vashi.

The doctors have mentioned that over 1 million significant procedures were performed worldwide. But, not everyone is suitable for ICL and it has its own suitability criteria.
