IIHMR start-ups inks MoU with National Health Mission, Rajasthan to strengthen healthcare innovation

The collaboration aims to collectively support and nurture healthcare start-ups aimed at strengthening public health outcomes in the state.

IIHMR Start-ups, the healthcare-focused incubation initiative of IIHMR Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Health Mission (NHM), Rajasthan. The collaboration aims to collectively support and nurture healthcare start-ups aimed at strengthening public health outcomes in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amit Yadav, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Rajasthan, said, “Start-ups play a vital role in bringing innovative and scalable solutions to the healthcare sector. This partnership with IIHMR Start-ups will help identify, support, and deploy impactful innovations that align with the goals of NHM and strengthen public health services across Rajasthan.”

Yamini Agarwal, Director, IIHMR Foundation, added, “This MoU marks an important step in bridging innovation with public health systems. By working closely with NHM Rajasthan, we aim to enable start-ups to co-create solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges and improve access, quality, and efficiency of healthcare delivery.”

“Healthcare innovation is no longer optional, it is central to meeting goals of universal coverage, improved health outcomes, and patient-centred care,” said Dr. PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University. “Rajasthan stands at a crucial juncture in its healthcare journey, where innovation must complement infrastructure and policy reforms. This collaborations aim to equip future leaders to address the unique health challenges with scalability and sustainability at their core.”

The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by Vishnu Kant Jalendra, State Nodal Officer, NHM Rajasthan, and the IIHMR Foundation team, including Abhishek Gupta, Dr. Kushal Pareek, and Shivam Verma.
