Jaslok Hospital launches new kidney transplant unit

The chief guest Bhamini Shrinivasan, the Jaslok Hospital’s longest post-transplant patient of 41 years inaugurated the unit

Jaslok Hospital recently inaugrated the kidney transplant unit, which has a centralised monitoring system dedicated for kidney transplant. The unit will have nursing staff, sonography machines and sanitised pathways from the operation theater to any mobile locations where the patient needs to be shifted.

The newly launched unit has a HEPA filter with laminar flow, catering to all classes from economy to deluxe class that provides ample space, privacy and a great view. The unit also offers sterile pathways with dedicated lifts from the operation theater and to all departments where a patient may require going for imaging, ensuring complete safety and sterility.
