NewEra Hospitals has launched a Dental Care Department at its Vashi facility in Navi Mumbai. The department has been set up to address dental and oral healthcare requirements in the region by bringing infrastructure, equipment and specialist services under one facility. The department will provide dental services ranging from routine check-ups to oral and maxillofacial procedures.
The department will offer preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, dental implants, oral surgery, and management of maxillofacial conditions. It includes diagnostic tools, dental chairs, dental instruments, and infection control systems to support treatment across age groups. The department was inaugurated by Shri Shashikant Chandekar, Senior Police Inspector, Vashi Police Station, in the presence of Dr Vinod Vij, Senior Plastic Surgeon, and Dr Kopal Vij, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Dental and oral health conditions are being reported across age groups. These include tooth decay, gum disease, misaligned teeth, jaw pain, oral infections, impacted wisdom teeth, and facial trauma. These conditions are often not addressed at an early stage. Factors cited include oral hygiene practices, lifestyle patterns, stress, tobacco use, and delayed diagnosis. If untreated, these conditions may lead to pain, difficulty in eating and speaking, facial changes, and infections that affect overall health. In response to this requirement, NewEra Hospitals has established a dental department focused on diagnosis and treatment of dental, oral, and maxillofacial conditions.
