The students successfully underwent examinations conducted by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik
PD Hinduja Nursing College recently conducted the graduation ceremony of eighth batch B.Sc Nursing (22 students) and sixth batch of M.Sc Nursing (17 students) at PD Hinduja Hospital, Mahim. These students successfully underwent examinations conducted by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, with several meritorious and university rank holders felicitated during the ceremony.
Addressing the newly graduated students, Gautam Khanna, CEO, PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC said, “Not everyone possesses the capabilities to become a nurse, as it is a vocation that needs a plethora of skills- intelligence, empathy, heart and devotion. I would like to congratulate each one of you for taking up the challenge and wish each of you a bright and successful future.”
Prof Dr Jaya Kuruvilla, Principal, Hinduja College of Nursing said, “I congratulate each and every one of you today. It is said that change is inevitable, however, it is evitable for students to change into care givers. In the years to come, you will bloom to become efficient and excellent nursing professionals. I wish all of you the best for your future professional careers.”
As part of the graduation ceremony, Usha S Raheja, Trustee felicitated and bestowed the prestigious Gold medal to the ‘Best outgoing student’, in memory of late Lalita Girdhar Hinduja. Additionally, Khanna bestowed the Achiever’s trophy to the Outstanding M.Sc nursing student, along with Prof Dr Kuruvilla providing each graduate with a college pin.
Recently, PD Hinduja College of Nursing, in affiliation with the Maharashtra University of Heath Sciences (MUHS), launched India’s first Lactation Consultant Course for nurses. The nursing college, recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC), started this new course in December. The College of Nursing has been NAAC ‘A’ accredited.
