QAI receives ISQua accreditation

QAI becomes the first accreditation body in India to achieve such recognition in less than five years of operations

Centre for Accreditation of Health and Social Care, Quality and Accreditation Institute (QAI) received ISQua accreditation as an organisation making it international and equivalent to other similar accreditation bodies like NABH and JCI.

QAI becomes the first accreditation body in India to achieve such recognition in less than five years of operations. It also becomes first and only accreditation body in India to achieve a rare distinction of getting its two sets of accreditation standards (Home Care and Dialysis) and the entire organisation accredited by ISQua.

Most importantly this recognition makes QAI at par with NABH for CGHS empanelment of hospitals, dental centres, eye care centres and imaging centres. QAI has already been approached by dental centres and hospitals for accreditation.

Dr B.K. Rana, CEO of QAI said, “We have already started accreditation of Dental, Eye and Imaging Centres and will be starting hospital accreditation in next couple of days. We aim to support and strengthen the existing accreditation system and provide opportunity to more and more healthcare organisations to come forward and embrace quality and safety culture.”

Prof. M.C. Misra, Chairman of the Board added, “This is a remarkable outcome of our five years of continued efforts in developing a robust and reliable Accreditation Body backed by sound policy framework and commitment of our people at all level.”
