The KEM Hospital Marathon set to take place on Oct 2nd in Mumbai

This edition of the marathon is being held to raise awareness about the dangers of tuberculosis and effective control of the disease, the motto being “Spreading Awareness to Eliminate TB”

The prestigious Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital will host the third edition of the KEM Marathon on the 2nd of October.

The marathon is set to begin from Bandra Fort and has picturesque sights on offer as runners make their way to Carter Road and return while the sun rises, basking in its glory.

This edition of the marathon is being held to raise awareness about the dangers of tuberculosis and effective control of the disease, the motto being “Spreading Awareness to Eliminate TB”. For this, the KEM hospital is joining hands with the National TB Elimination Program, an endeavour of the Government of India to eliminate TB, as well as the Public Health Department, BMC which has pledged to offer assistance during the course of the marathon.

Come October 2nd, over a thousand participants that include the likes of students, doctors and fitness enthusiasts will take part in various categories like 3km, 5km (times and untimed) and 10 km (timed).

They will joined by eminent personalities like Ghanshyam Ukey, renowned marathon runner and proud Ironman, Tuffman, ZUPPERMAN, Tigerman and an Olympian; Swati Mukund, the Pinkathon ambassador and Dr Agni Bose, a proficient dermatologist and skin care expert who’s passion for fitness is unmatched. They’ll be joined by pacers that include Saurabh Pandit, Dr Saloni Assie, Dr Dhwani Punjabi etc to help the runners keep up their pace.

Total cash prizes worth Rs 85,000 along with various hampers will be awarded to the winners. Medals, refreshments and participation certificates will be provided to all the  participants.
