Vaidam Health, a medical tourism company based in India, has acquired MediJourney, a digital-first platform for international patient facilitation that was incubated by Ferns N Petals (FNP) in 2024. The all-cash deal supports Vaidam Health’s objective to expand its global footprint, enhance technology capabilities, and improve patient services at scale.
MediJourney is a tech-enabled platform that helps international patients connect with verified healthcare options. With this acquisition, Vaidam Health will integrate MediJourney’s digital infrastructure into its operations and extend engagement in high-growth markets.
Rishabh Jalan, Co-Founder of MediJourney, said, “This acquisition represents a powerful synergy between two companies that share a common vision for innovation and customer-centric solutions. By joining forces with Vaidam Health, we are ensuring that our technology and expertise reach new heights, benefiting a wider audience while allowing us to focus on new strategic opportunities.”
Founded in 2016 by Pankaj Chandna and Manish Chandra, Vaidam Health operates a technology-driven medical travel platform. It facilitates over 25,000 global patient interactions per month and is present in seven countries. The company provides services such as treatment discovery, visa facilitation, interpreter coordination, and post-treatment care for patients seeking treatment in Indian hospitals.
The acquisition is expected to result in a 40–50% increase in active patient engagements over the next year. Vaidam will also strengthen its presence in international markets including Africa and Southeast Asia, where it currently runs on-ground teams and information centres.
“We welcome MediJourney to Vaidam Health,” said Pankaj Chandna, Co-Founder of Vaidam Health. “MediJourney’s platform complements our infrastructure and broadens our ability to connect international patients with trusted healthcare options in India. This acquisition reflects our commitment to simplifying access to quality treatment for patients worldwide.”
Following the acquisition, MediJourney will operate independently under Vaidam’s ownership. The company will benefit from Vaidam’s in-house technology, hospital partnerships, and multilingual case management systems. Key priorities for the integration include AI-assisted navigation, customised patient onboarding, and alignment with Vaidam’s hospital partners.
The acquisition supports Vaidam Health’s long-term goal of developing a comprehensive medical tourism platform, combining digital tools with personalised patient support. It also comes as India continues to position itself as a destination for global health tourism. Through this integration, Vaidam aims to improve the speed and efficiency with which international patients access healthcare in India.
